It comes disassembled, but putting it together was a snap, literally. I liked this product, and think you will, too. Nevertheless, I'm impressed, and will easily continue to use this and recommend it to people who are looking for quick, convenient ways to keep on top of their household cleaning chores! And, one has to remember to charge it (although I found that I didn't have to plug it in that often). For example, while I understand the desire to keep it light and convenient to use, there were times when I felt like a little more heft would give me greater control over the unit. Sure it has limitations, and it's not perfect. With the Sweeper + Vac I can easily get it out, do a quick run over the floor, and I'm done. I must confess that I am often too lazy to get a broom out and sweep - that's too much work. The Swiffer has already become a regular part of our clean-up routine. The vacuum works, but with its battery power does not have great suction although there is enough to pick up most of what I encountered on the floor if I got the suction head right on it.

Also, it's not a replacement for a full vacuum cleaner. It is not designed for excessively dirty floors, or as replacement for more thorough cleaning methods. There are limitations, however, to the Swiffer Sweeper + Vac, and for that reason it is important to remember that this is for everyday use. I was particularly impressed by how dog hair was easily picked up. Sweeping with a broom can't compete with this. With this Swiffer, dirt is effectively removed either by adherence to the cleaning cloth or sucked up by the vacuum. Besides, dragging dirt around to be scooped up seems far from effective cleaning. Traditional brooms allow you to gather up particles, but the challenge is getting it all picked up. In short, it's the perfect replacement for a broom for use on hard-surfaced floors. In short, it exceeded my expectations.įor someone looking to purchase this unit, it's important to understand what it can and cannot do.
#Swiffer sweep and vac trial
Who can get excited about a cleaning appliance? Nevertheless, after giving this a fair trial over the past few weeks I was pleasantly surprised at how useful and valuable a tool like this can be for our home. When I had the opportunity to try to Swiffer Sweeper + Vac Starter Kit I was not quite sure what to expect. I will look on my next trip since this product is a great addition to my arsenal of things that will clean up several areas between deep cleans we get every other week from the cleaning ladies. The only thing I do not know is how long the filter in the dust bin will last and if it is available at the local grocery. I have only had to charge it once, but that is just plugging the adapter in the wall and into the Swiffer and walking away. I have used the Swiffer + vac for two weeks now and it also seems to hold a charge well. Using the vacuum on the Swiffer makes this an easy job versus a broom and dust pan, saving me time and energy. Since the leaves are smaller than normal, it takes more than a broom to collect them and leave our floor clean. In our sun room, our dog drags in small leaves from the back yard and lets them drop to the sunroom floor. Without that vacuum on the product, most of the litter scraps would still be on the floor. What I found interesting was that the vacuum picked up the pebbles and not the Swiffer pad. Using the Swiffer with vacuum on, it picked up the remnants of litter that my broom could not pick up. In the litter box room, even after sweeping the floor with a broom, there are tiny particles of litter left on the floor. To test this product, I used it in two places: the litter box room and the sunroom. It not only picks up the dust and dirt, it grabs the debris as well.
#Swiffer sweep and vac upgrade
I think this upgrade to the Swiffer is great.
